Da Nang Official Portals 2026: 4 Essential Websites for Expats and Businesses

If you run a small business in Da Nang, an ordinary Monday can produce four questions. Has the city announced a new policy? Is the visitor market growing? What is happening when a client comes to town? Is the road to the office likely to flood after heavy rain?

The answers do not sit on one website. Da Nang has several official portals, each with a different role. Choosing the right one saves time and reduces the risk of acting on an old post, an informal translation or information from the wrong authority.

We mapped similar resources in our guide to Ho Chi Minh City official portals in 2026. Da Nang needs its own guide because its information system is different and its geography changed in 2025. The former Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province were consolidated into the new Da Nang City. Current portals increasingly cover this larger area, while older data may use the former boundaries.

The Da Nang City Electronic Information Portal, commonly called Danang Portal, is the city's central government information website. Its governing authority is the Da Nang People's Committee. Start here to confirm what the city has announced, identify the responsible agency or verify whether an online message has an official source.

The Vietnamese portal is organised around four audiences: Government, Citizens, Businesses and Visitors. Government covers leadership activity, directions, plans, meetings and documents. Citizens includes public notices and reception schedules. Businesses brings together policy news, enterprise support and departmental updates. Visitors highlights city and tourism news.

For a foreign-owned studio, restaurant or consultancy, the value is early orientation. If the city announces an administrative procedure, investment initiative, infrastructure plan or support programme, the portal can identify the issuing authority and related decision. You can then review the full document, effective date and scope with a Vietnamese adviser before changing a process.

The English portal is useful but not a complete translation. It publishes selected foreign-facing news, briefings, cooperation updates, business information and major economic indicators. The Vietnamese portal carries a broader and usually more immediate stream of notices and documents. If a matter affects a deadline, licence, employee or payment, check the Vietnamese source even when an English summary exists.

2. Da Nang Statistics: use evidence before trusting a market story

Da Nang Statistics is the local state statistics website within Vietnam's official statistical system, whose central authority is the National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance. It is useful for preparing a business plan, checking a market claim or explaining local conditions to an overseas headquarters.

Its recurring socio-economic reports bring several signals together, including production, business activity, retail and services, tourism, investment, prices, public finance, labour and social conditions. Monthly reports show short-term direction, quarterly and half-year publications add context, and yearbooks provide historical baselines.

For a small business owner, the portal supports better questions. A hotel supplier can compare tourism activity with orders. A retailer can review consumer and service trends before expanding. An employer can assess labour and population context before forecasting recruitment. The data cannot validate a shopfront or guarantee demand, but it gives assumptions a factual base.

The interface and reports are mainly in Vietnamese, so foreign readers may need translation support, especially for table headings, technical definitions and footnotes.

3. Danang Fantasticity: the official window into the visitor economy

Danang Fantasticity is the city's official tourism portal, managed by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center under the culture, sports and tourism authority. It serves visitors, but is also useful for expats and businesses working in hospitality, events, relocation or client entertainment.

The site covers weather, history, attractions, culture, architecture, entertainment, community tourism, festivals and events. Food content ranges from local dishes to international dining, nightlife and the Michelin Guide. It also offers accommodation and shopping guides, promotions, itineraries, walking routes, traveller essentials, e-books, e-magazines, newsletters and VR360. MICE and golf content helps businesses research venues, incentive trips and team activities.

When overseas clients have one free afternoon, Fantasticity can replace a random list from review sites. Use it to check current events, build a realistic itinerary, choose local food and find official tourist-support contacts. It also shows how the city now presents the wider destination, including Hoi An and places formerly described as being in Quang Nam Province.

Fantasticity is a planning source, not a regulatory one. Use the relevant authority for visas, work permits, event permissions or business licensing. Its weather page supports general planning, but severe-weather decisions require current official warnings and the specialised map below.

4. Da Nang Rain and Flood Map: turn rainy-season data into a practical decision

Official portal: muangap.danang.gov.vn

The Rain and Flood Map is a city-run digital tool developed for flood-response and public situational awareness, connected with Da Nang's smart-city and 1022 public-information ecosystem. Current city communications identify the Da Nang Information and Intelligent Monitoring and Operations Center as the operating unit.

Its key feature is rainfall information by monitoring station and time window. Other pages cover flood-status reports, landslide locations, evacuation shelters and fallen trees. Station and location lists now span the expanded city, from coastal wards to remote communes, reservoirs and mountain areas.

For a business owner, this is more than a weather map. It can inform deliveries, airport pickups, staff commutes, school runs, site visits or moving equipment from a vulnerable ground floor. Check the rainfall period and station, refresh before leaving and compare the map with official emergency notices.

We did not find a dedicated English interface. Useful Vietnamese labels include lượng mưa for rainfall, khu vực sạt lở for landslide areas, nhà sơ tán for evacuation shelters, cây ngã đổ for fallen trees, and báo cáo tình trạng ngập for flood-status reports.

No live map can promise a safe route. Updates may lag behind conditions. Follow evacuation and road-closure instructions, and never enter floodwater because a route looks clear online.

A simple workflow for using Da Nang's official information

When an issue affects business or daily life, start with the portal that owns the question:
